On Wednesday, Nvidia ($NVIDIA Corporation NVDA$) saw its stock price surge nearly 13%, increasing its market capitalization by US$329 billion. Nvidia’s stock price has been volatile, with the stock undergoing 4 of the 8 largest market cap crashes just in July. Deutsche Bank stated on Wednesday that Nvidia’s stock price, which has fallen back after explosive gains in the past few months, will mainly depend on the profitability of this artificial intelligence chip manufacturer going forward. Deutsche Bank pointed out that Nvidia’s stock price has fallen about 25% from its peak in June, with a market value evaporation of more than US$800 billion, and is currently receiving more attention.

Meta Shares Surge Nearly 8% Pre-Market as Q2 Earnings Soar Over 70% Year-Over-Year, Ad Revenue Exceeds Expectations

Arm Holdings ($Arm Holdings Ltd. ARM$) reports Q1 revenue for fiscal year 2025 at US$939 million, up 39% year-over-year, beating analyst expectations of US$905.4 million; non-GAAP adjusted earnings per share at US$0.40, up 67% year-over-year, surpassing analyst expectations of US$0.34. Licensing revenue for the period was US$467 million, with year-over-year growth slowing to 17%, below analyst expectations of US$492 million. Arm also announced that starting this quarter, it will no longer report shipment numbers for chips based on the Arm architecture.

Carvana Jumps Over 10% Pre-Market as Q2 Revenue Exceeds Expectations, Unexpectedly Swings to Profit

US online used car retailer Carvana ($Carvana Co. Class A CVNA$) reports Q2 revenue of US$3.4 billion, up 15% year-over-year, beating market expectations of US$3.26 billion; net profit of US$48 million, or US$0.14 earnings per share, compared to a loss of US$105 million, or US$0.55 per share, in the same period last year, with market expectations of a US$0.12 loss per share. During the period, used car sales exceeded 100,000 units, a 33% increase year-over-year, with a market share of only 1%, and the company expects retail sales to grow sequentially in Q3.
